Have you herd? There’s a moo-rvellous Art Trail in Cambridge

Pupils from some of our partnership schools are amongst the 10,000 children to have created ‘mini moos’ for the city’s new summer’s interactive exhibition – “Cows about Cambridge”. Forty-four large cows, each one individually designed by an artist and sponsored by a business, and a further 46 mini moos creatively decorated by schools and cow-munity groups around Cambridgeshire form an extensive art trail across the city.

The cow sculpture was created specifically for Cambridge, inspired by the rare Red Poll cattle that have been part of everyday life in the city, from Grantchester to Midsummer Common, for hundreds of years. CTSN SCITT partnership schools’ mini moos include:

North Cambridge Academy’s Milky Way outside the Fitzwilliam Museum.

Little Paxton Primary School’s MeMoo and Meadow Primary School’s Meadow Moo on Trinity Street.

Swavesey Village College’s Moonet Picowso, St Laurence Catholic Primary School’s Through God’s Grace and Bottisham Village College’s Moo-ving forward to a green future are all in the Grafton Centre.

You’ll be discover these six decorative cows, along with the other 84, throughout the summer holidays [up until Saturday 4th September 2021] using the trail map here. @CowsaboutCambs
